About

Scioto Grove Metro Park is a 620-acre park along the Scioto River with mature forests and scenic bluffs overlooking the river. It features more than seven miles of trails, two picnic areas with shelters, tables and grills, a kids play area and several overlook decks. The park is located on a scenic bend of the Scioto River and is a great destination for canoeists, kayakers, anglers and people wanting to see waterfowl and other wildlife. Dogs on leashes are welcome throughout the park, which also features a sledding hill.

Backpacking

Backpacking is free and registration opens in April. Call 614.539.3339 to register. Backpacking starts mid-April and is available every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights), through to the end of October.

The Grove Lodge

The Grove

The Grove Lodge is one of our newest indoor facility with a large meeting room with beautiful floor to ceiling windows on three sides that overlook the park, a kitchenette, male and female restrooms, central heating and cooling, and an outdoor patio. Hourly reservations available, with hourly rental minimums. For hourly rentals starting on the half hour call our main office 614-891-0700. *Please note the prices are hourly and this facility requires a security deposit (20 percent of the total rental fee). The entire rental fee, including the security deposit, is due at the time of reservation.
